Sr. Organization Development Specialist

Administer the organizational development and change management initiatives to enable and drive a high-performing and inclusive culture. The role provides a range of providing consultation to improve organization results through change management, organization design, development, and effectiveness initiatives.

Primary and Essential Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Conduct organization needs analysis to develop the appropriate organization development plans and programs.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness within human resources programs.
  • Design and deliver OD change management strategies, processes, interventions, and business optimization projects that support MSA’s goal of organizational excellence and stewardship.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of interventions on staff performance, efficiency, employee retention, and job satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition to develop a workforce planning framework.
  • Develop, implement and support organization design processes in partnership with business leaders.
  • Design departments’ organizational structure and charts in line with department heads and update organization charts regarding; promotions, transfers, and newly hired employees.
  • Create, update job descriptions and conduct job evaluation and grading to determine appropriate salary levels according to compensation guidelines.
  • Update, develop job families, and monitor employees’ career path system; horizontally and vertically for professional development.
  • Develop, update the University core and leadership competency framework, create and update technical competencies for positions
  • Work closely with Recruitment, Learning, and Development to carry out competency framework in related hiring, development, and promotion needs.
  • Create, update, and develop human resources policies and employee handbook.
  • Deliver employee handbook induction to newly hired and ensure that human resources-related policies are communicated to staff.
  • Analyze business structures, processes, procedures, and utilization of Human Resources.
  • Support whole systems analysis, process reengineering, and organization development services that are in alignment with organizational strategic plans.
  • Provide consultancy to all levels of employees including; policies, procedures, grievance resolution and compliance.
  • Advice line managers on performance, organization, and leadership matters.
  • Gather and assess feedback from all levels in the organization regarding; concerns, areas of improvement, and strength points.
  • Support initiatives related to employee engagement, workplace culture, and leadership development.
  • Contribute to designing, developing, and implementing succession planning programs.
  • Document processes and prepare progress reports to senior management and Quality.
  • Keep abreast with best practices of Organization Development trends.
  • Support Performance management implementation process as required.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor degree in a related discipline is essential, Human Resources Certificate or Diploma is preferable.

Experience: 4-6 years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Excellent Business writing skills.
  • Excellent command of using Microsoft package “PowerPoint, Word, and Excel”.
  • Strong training and facilitation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent administration, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Strong networking, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
